Legal Paternity Test

This is our most recommended option. If the child is under 18, we strongly suggest choosing this test. Results are court-admissible and may be used for legal purposes such as amending a birth certificate, establishing child support orders, and more.

If the alleged father is deceased We can test using an FTA blood card or DNA sample collected from the deceased, typically obtained through the coroner or funeral home director. Please note there is an additional fee for this service. Results may be used for legal purposes such as Social Security or survivor benefits.

If the alleged father is incarcerated or long deceased When direct testing is not possible but at least one of his parents is available for testing, we can perform a Grandparentage DNA Test. If grandparentage is proven, paternity can be legally established.

Non-Legal “Peace of Mind” Paternity Test

If you only need answers for personal reassurance and do not require results for court or legal purposes, this is the best option.

If the alleged father refuses or cannot test We can often test non-standard samples, such as a toothbrush, eating utensils, toothpicks, or fingernail/toenail clippings. Call us at 858-621-3774 for pricing and instructions on how to preserve and ship these items to our lab.

You can schedule your appointment online or by phone. Once booked, you’ll receive a welcome email from our testing center administrator with important details. On the day of your appointment, all participants age 18 and older must bring a valid government-issued photo ID.

At the appointment, each party will be swabbed, and the samples will be securely shipped to our accredited laboratory. Results are typically available within 2 business days and will be delivered by email or reviewed with you in our office.

If the alleged father is a minor, a legal guardian’s consent is required. The guardian must be present at the appointment to provide authorization before the minor can be tested in our office.

No, test results are not provided over the phone. Results will be securely sent by email, or one of the parties may pick them up in person at our office. If needed, an appointment can also be scheduled for the administrator to review the results in office with all parties present, especially in cases where mediation or counseling may be required.

YES! Your privacy is our top priority. We will never release information about your case without your explicit authorization. We also follow any special instructions you provide regarding how we communicate with you or other parties involved in the test.
